Responsibilities
- Build compilers and tools that efficiently map ML models, especially for always-on computing, to hardware instruction sets.
- Propose and implement compiler fixes in collaboration with other compiler engineers.
- Triage and identify the root causes of correctness and performance issues when enabling ML models on EdgeTPU.
- Collaborate with model owners to influence model architectures for efficient EdgeTPU execution.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with ML compilers or compilers in general.
- Experience with system software.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience optimizing ML model inference on device.
- Preferred: experience with power and performance optimizations.
- Preferred: strong understanding of hardware, particularly highly parallel hardware.
