Base Salary
$295k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver complex end-to-end technical features in the game engine and Roblox Studio.
- Establish foundational architecture and technical direction for expanding Roblox Studio capabilities.
- Collaborate across teams and technology platforms to deliver high-quality user functionality.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical best practices, patterns, and strategies.
- Improve product quality by fostering automated testing.
- Help build a professional application for massively multiplayer game development.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience solving deep and challenging problems in large-scale C++ codebases.
- Experience with the internals of a multiplayer game engine and client/server concerns including scale, performance, latency, and throughput.
- Experience delivering end-to-end features across multiple teams and technology platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with version control systems, 3D scene and game development tools and workflows, and file storage systems or network protocols.
