Base Salary
$295k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement physics features that enable immersive and dynamic Roblox experiences.
- Drive research and rapid prototyping and translate new ideas into practical, durable solutions.
- Optimize the physics engine and its integrations for robustness, performance, and seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external developers to provide expert guidance and resolve technical challenges.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience writing high-performance, optimized C++ code, or 2+ years with an advanced degree.
- Experience using multithreading and SIMD optimization techniques, with knowledge of modern computer architecture and software performance.
- Practical experience applying numerical methods to real-time physics simulation problems.
- Proven experience developing and deploying real-time and online multiplayer physics simulations.
- Hands-on experience integrating and applying physics SDKs such as PhysX, Havok, and Bullet.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
