Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java and Spring Boot backend applications.
- Lead technical design and implementation of new features and system enhancements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentor Java developers, conduct code reviews, and promote coding standards.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure backend application maintainability, performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and developers throughout the software lifecycle.
- Support testing, CI/CD processes, deployment, release activities, and continuous improvement.
- Investigate complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide second-line support.
- Drive technical decisions and identify improvements to existing solutions and development practices.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and strong knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Solid experience with JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies.
- Experience with Maven, Git, and JUnit.
- Good understanding of CI/CD practices and software delivery pipelines.
- Experience leading technical discussions, mentoring developers, and reviewing code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience in financial services or banking, Azure DevOps, Liquibase, SOAP Web Services, and secure, high-availability, mission-critical enterprise applications is preferred.
