Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, document, deliver, and maintain distributed backend services across the full software development lifecycle.
- Write and ship production Java services and AWS infrastructure optimized for scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Build or improve AI-native developer tooling, including agents, chat bots, and automated workflows.
- Define architecture plans, evaluate technologies, and make build-versus-reuse decisions with partner pricing teams.
- Set standards and mechanisms for handling operational load and improving platform health.
- Review code and design documents, collaborate with regional product and engineering teams, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
