Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for DAZN’s Android TV and mobile applications.
- Improve and maintain the existing application codebase.
- Monitor live-app performance and optimize applications at the code level.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, rectify bugs, and enhance application performance.
- Perform unit and instrumentation testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design features and ensure application quality.
- Write clear and concise technical documentation.
- Stay current with mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of Android application development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android versions, screen sizes, Android UI principles, and Android design guidelines.
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Android NDK, including strong hands-on Kotlin experience.
- Experience publishing applications on the Google Play Store.
- Experience with mobile architecture and design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and MVP.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and back-end service integration.
- Proficiency with Git and knowledge of data structures.
- Experience using debugging and performance tools.
- Ability to write unit and Espresso tests.
- Video-streaming experience is an added advantage.
