Responsibilities
- Define and own the architectural direction for Console platform pillars, including integration contracts and engineering standards.
- Lead architectural decision-making across Console sub-teams and product verticals by authoring RFCs and design documents.
- Design self-service integration patterns, documented contracts, and governed processes that reduce coordination overhead and delivery bottlenecks.
- Own the technical evolution of permission and access control infrastructure, navigation and entitlements architecture, and contract-tested service interface migrations.
- Partner with engineering managers and product leads to align platform capability roadmaps with product needs.
- Define and champion DORA metric targets, contract testing standards, feature flag practices, and progressive migration patterns.
- Mentor engineers across Console sub-teams, provide architectural guidance, conduct design reviews, and raise the team’s technical capability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ownership of cross-team platform or shared-infrastructure systems whose architectural decisions were adopted by other engineering teams.
- Strong full-stack web engineering depth across frontend and backend systems, with the ability to reason about integration contracts and distributed web architecture trade-offs.
- Track record of achieving technical alignment across teams without line management authority through written proposals, facilitation, and clear trade-off communication.
- Experience building or governing access control, permissions, or identity systems in an enterprise SaaS context.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous ownership spaces by establishing architectural clarity through documentation and shared standards.
- Evidence of improving the engineering capability of others through mentorship, standards-setting, or architectural work that reduces complexity.
