Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for the support stack and decide on automation priorities.
- Design, ship, and maintain AI agents and automation workflows.
- Identify and eliminate recurring issues through automation and documentation.
- Build and maintain tooling to increase team capacity without adding headcount.
- Define and manage the 'Support as a Product' backlog.
- Hire, onboard, and develop support engineers.
- Handle complex support tickets and set standards for issue resolution.
- Represent support at the engineering and product level to drive improvements.
Requirements
- Experience in defining or shaping a support engineering function.
- High technical aptitude with the ability to read code and analyze logs.
- Proven track record of building custom AI agents and automations.
- Exceptional prioritization skills for managing tasks and team dynamics.
- Experience in coaching and developing engineering talent.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Interest in or experience with a Build/Run split in support operations.
