Responsibilities

  • Set the technical direction for the support stack and decide on automation priorities.
  • Design, ship, and maintain AI agents and automation workflows.
  • Identify and eliminate recurring issues through automation and documentation.
  • Build and maintain tooling to increase team capacity without adding headcount.
  • Define and manage the 'Support as a Product' backlog.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop support engineers.
  • Handle complex support tickets and set standards for issue resolution.
  • Represent support at the engineering and product level to drive improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience in defining or shaping a support engineering function.
  • High technical aptitude with the ability to read code and analyze logs.
  • Proven track record of building custom AI agents and automations.
  • Exceptional prioritization skills for managing tasks and team dynamics.
  • Experience in coaching and developing engineering talent.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in or experience with a Build/Run split in support operations.
