Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native backend services on AWS.
- Develop scalable and maintainable APIs using Node.js.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers on technical solutions.
- Improve cloud service reliability, scalability, and security through monitoring, alerting, and automation.
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and improve service performance and cost efficiency.
- Integrate and manage payment processing systems such as Stripe as a bonus responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience developing backend services or cloud applications.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and RESTful API design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, S3, SQS, SNS, and RDS.
- Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, and microservice architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and IAM management.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with AI development environments such as Cursor and Claude Code, plus AI development techniques such as Spec-Driven Development.
- Preferred: experience with Stripe or other payment systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with TypeScript or Serverless Framework.
- Preferred: knowledge of CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.
- Preferred: exposure to high-availability and distributed system design.
