Responsibilities
- Develop basic to moderately complex front-end or back-end code for internal and external client software solutions.
- Work throughout the software development life cycle, including design, coding, debugging, testing, implementation, validation, maintenance, and documentation.
- Analyze, modify, and develop code and unit tests, perform validation, and correct code deficiencies.
- Create program specifications, application documentation, deliverables, and implementation plans.
- Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
- Apply procedures, methodologies, application standards, and Payment Card Industry security compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams and escalate alternative technical proposals when appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least 2 years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages, APIs, external services, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
- The posting also lists 4+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data and experience with IBM Rational Tools.
- Technical knowledge across operating systems, databases, programming languages, web and mobile development technologies, development tools, and machine learning frameworks is preferred.
