  • Design scalable, fault-tolerant, maintainable distributed and microservice-based systems.
  • Make and justify architectural trade-offs involving performance, complexity, consistency, availability, and build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Design versioned REST and gRPC API contracts with backward compatibility.
  • Architect relational and non-relational data-storage strategies, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Design event-driven and asynchronous flows using message brokers.
  • Anticipate scalability and reliability risks and design for load, failure modes, and observability.
  • Produce architecture decision records, technical specifications, diagrams, and other documentation.
  • Guide and mentor development teams on best practices, code quality, and Go idioms without formally managing them.
  • Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to Product Owners, Solution Architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Evaluate technologies, tools, and frameworks for the technical roadmap.
  • Balance hands-on Go coding with architectural oversight.

Requirements

  • Strong REST and/or gRPC API design expertise, including versioning and backward compatibility.
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and transactions.
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS and event-driven architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of scalability, fault tolerance, security, observability, metrics, logging, and tracing.
  • Experience with architecture reviews and design documentation such as ADRs and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Readiness to work from 9:00 to 18:00 CEST.
  • Readiness to complete a live Go coding task during the client interview.
  • Preferred experience includes MongoDB, Cassandra, ClickHouse, Redis, AWS, GCP, Azure, DDD, SRE practices, AI/LLM production integration, open-source Go contributions, additional programming languages, and relevant cloud architecture certifications.

Benefits
