Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, sustain, and document software changes for equipment-control and automation software.
  • Create and maintain graphical user interfaces and underlying frameworks for new and existing products from requirements through launch.
  • Perform project analysis, design, and implementation using sound engineering principles and applicable business and product requirements.
  • Translate customer requirements into software requirements and identify optimized solutions with global teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex software problems and provide timely status updates and proactive stakeholder communications.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the product domain and existing equipment beyond software to deliver enhancements and fixes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering, or a Master of Computer Applications.
  • 4–7 years of experience in product software development with a strong background in user-interface development for standalone Windows server or desktop programs.
  • Strong C# and .NET programming skills, including WinForms, WPF, collections, component models, and threads.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and basic operating-system concepts.
  • Experience with source-control tools such as Git and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience developing GUIs for industrial automation products is preferred.
  • Experience with agentic coding or AI-agent tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot is preferred.
