Base Salary
$145k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions using Crossplane, Terraform, and Helm Charts.
- Define platform requirements, scope, priorities, and strategic maturity goals with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Streamline software delivery and ensure high-quality releases in collaboration with development, operations, and quality assurance teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize DevOps tools and platforms for reliability, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Design zero-downtime maintenance strategies for Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources.
- Evaluate technologies and recommend tools and practices to improve DevOps workflows.
- Mentor junior platform engineers and provide expert guidance on internal platform integration and best practices.
- Integrate security controls and best practices into DevOps processes and infrastructure.
- Document technical designs, procedures, and configurations.
- Automate existing processes using modern tooling, including AI tools and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in software development and infrastructure operations.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Crossplane, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Go, Python, or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins or ArgoCD.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- A proven track record of process improvements and DevOps best-practice implementation.
- Preferred experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
