Base Salary
$145k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code using Crossplane, Terraform, and Helm Charts.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, InfoSec, operations, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to define platform requirements and priorities.
- Streamline software delivery and maintain high-quality releases through collaboration with development, operations, and quality assurance teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize DevOps tools and platforms for reliability, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Design zero-downtime maintenance strategies for Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources.
- Evaluate industry trends and recommend tools, technologies, and practices to improve DevOps workflows.
- Mentor junior platform engineers and provide expert guidance on internal platform integration and best practices.
- Integrate security controls into DevOps processes and infrastructure.
- Document technical designs, procedures, and configurations.
- Automate existing processes using modern tooling, including AI tools and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in software development and infrastructure operations.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Crossplane, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Go, Python, or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins or ArgoCD.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proven experience driving process improvements and implementing DevOps best practices.
- Preferred: experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred: knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Preferred: experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
