Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, deploys, troubleshoots, and maintains secure, scalable software solutions.
- Builds and maintains production code and algorithms while ensuring design constraints are met.
- Uses authorized AI-assisted coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, with peer review and validation.
- Creates architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
- Analyzes and visualizes large, diverse datasets to improve software applications and systems.
- Identifies data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding practices and system architecture.
- Guides peers on safe and effective use of AI tools in engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- At least 3 years of applied experience.
- Experience developing, deploying, and administering Java applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Working knowledge of at least one public cloud environment: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to validate and refine their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies are preferred.
