Responsibilities
- Develop applications according to functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design components and individual programs and contribute to technical designs and specifications.
- Create unit tests and ensure compliance with coding, design, and software standards.
- Provide production support and maintain system documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, project managers, subject matter experts, business partners, external clients, and end users.
- Apply appropriate software development methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement and modern delivery practices.
- Align risk and control processes with daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk.
- Develop and support applications using Java/JEE, Spring, web services, SOAP/REST APIs, JavaScript frameworks, XML, messaging, and database technologies.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of related application development and system analysis experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in Java/JEE, Oracle, and coding best practices.
- Strong knowledge of software development concepts and design and coding skills.
- Experience with web services, Spring, SOAP/REST APIs, JavaScript frameworks for modern web applications, and XML.
- Experience with message-oriented middleware and distributed technologies such as IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, and SOA is preferred.
- Experience integrating with databases such as Oracle and MySQL is preferred.
