Responsibilities
- Create technology architecture roadmaps, organizational strategies, principles, standards, and guidelines aligned with business needs.
- Lead the design and implementation of repeatable technical solutions, processes, projects, and applications across the enterprise.
- Provide architectural recommendations, subject matter expertise, and guidance to internal and external stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Design and evaluate internet-facing applications, mobile applications, APIs, integrations, databases, data models, and enterprise services.
- Research relevant technologies, perform proofs of concept and prototypes, and recommend technologies for future product architecture.
- Identify and mitigate technology, solution, project, and delivery risks while supporting sound implementation and budget outcomes.
- Respond to critical production-wide problems by evaluating solutions, coordinating recovery, and ensuring resolution.
- Review technical work, manage architecture assets, develop productivity aids, and strengthen organizational capabilities through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Solution Architect experience in a large enterprise-level banking environment.
- Strong experience with internet-facing applications, web technologies, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, web applications, content management, and mobile iOS and Android applications.
- Experience with application security controls, AWS, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, authorization, and single sign-on concepts.
- Experience designing APIs, API gateways, Swagger specifications, Spring Boot, Java, Node.js, and end-to-end enterprise solutions.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture, databases, data modeling, real-time and batch interfaces, and relational database design.
- Strong experience designing and implementing microservices, SOAP/XML and RESTful/JSON schemas, scalable applications, and architectural or design patterns.
- Strong understanding of the TOGAF framework and the strategic direction of middleware, continuous integration and deployment, testing, systems management, enterprise data and access layers, and computing styles.
- Expert verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving, influence, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity.
- Ability to identify solution alternatives, assess technologies, configure designs, advise senior leaders, and solve complex and non-routine problems.
