Responsibilities

  • Lead the gathering of business, functional, and technical requirements for Okta identity platform implementations.
  • Document technical and functional requirements for customer-specific solutions.
  • Support the creation of project plans for proposed solution development and implementation.
  • Translate requirements into designs and provide technical leadership and oversight as part of a Professional Services delivery team.
  • Lead customer discovery workshops and develop functional and system design specifications.
  • Participate in customer health-checks and project reviews while managing customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of overall IT, software development, solution design, and technical architecture experience.
  • At least 3 years of consulting experience, application architecture design, and IAM architecture experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience implementing cloud computing solutions such as AWS, Google Apps, and Salesforce.
  • Experience with B2C and B2B customer identity use cases, including registration, multifactor authentication, SSO, delegated administration, and social identities.
  • Experience working with CxOs and senior customer executives and leading discovery workshops.
  • Strong knowledge of security architecture, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, RBAC, OAuth, OIDC, XML, SOAP, JSON, and REST.
  • Proficiency in one or more of Java, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, or React, with additional experience in Ruby, Python, or Perl desirable.
  • Experience architecting distributed systems, designing applications, integrating on-premises and SaaS products, and developing software.
  • Knowledge of API gateways, CASB, reverse proxies, cloud and virtualization technologies, and open-source development tools is desirable.
  • Experience with Git and Subversion is desirable.
  • Okta expertise or certifications, TOGAF, and/or CISSP certification are desirable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and travel up to 50%.
