Responsibilities
- Integrate AI products that process and move substantial data across external sources and systems in real time.
- Route streaming responses and language-model requests across providers with fallback and cost controls.
- Monitor latency, costs, and error rates and proactively prevent production degradation.
- Improve platform reliability and performance under production load while maintaining simple, maintainable architecture.
- Build observability and instrumentation to identify issues and support root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to frontend code when needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience, including 3 years of production TypeScript experience.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong system design skills, including performance, latency, and cost trade-off analysis.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, APIs, queues, and caching.
- Experience improving platform reliability and performance and using instrumentation and observability to debug production systems.
- Experience with streaming responses or routing language-model requests across providers with fallback and cost logic is useful.
Benefits
- €60,000 to €90,000 annual salary.
- Hybrid work arrangement in Munich, Germany.
