Responsibilities
- Design and operate a tool gateway exposing connected APIs and MCPs through a composable Python SDK with routing, authentication, rate limits, and reliability features.
- Run persistent, isolated Linux sandboxes for workspaces with secure, autoscaling, and cost-efficient operation.
- Own a durable, fast multi-tenant data layer designed for failure handling and isolation.
- Investigate integration issues and improve systems to prevent recurring problems.
- Work with company leadership on technical decisions and ship production improvements quickly.
- Talk with users and contribute to production work from the first week.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional engineering experience building and operating backend systems in production.
- Strong distributed systems experience, including designing for scale, reliability, and failure.
- Experience with containers, Linux internals, sandboxing, and safely running untrusted code.
- Fluency in Python and experience building Python services; familiarity with Modal is valuable.
- Hands-on experience with OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, and third-party API integrations.
- Experience designing and building multi-tenant systems with attention to durability, cost, and failure isolation.
- Background in infrastructure, platform, developer tools, or code execution systems.
