Responsibilities
- Design and ship backend Java services used by thousands of customers.
- Own distributed customer-facing systems end to end, from understanding the problem through production operation and fixes.
- Design and build microservices, APIs, and internal tooling for the platform.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to shape solutions and product direction.
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and provide on-call support for owned services.
- Apply agentic workflows by orchestrating agents, judging their output, and tuning evaluation loops.
- Improve production services through observability, metrics, alerting, CI/CD, and Kubernetes-based operations.
Requirements
- Development experience with Java and strong experience with Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with Go is beneficial.
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, including designing for reliability, scalability, idempotency, and maintainability.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, JPA/Hibernate, Flyway, Redis, and Kafka.
- Comfort owning production services and working with observability, metrics, alerting, CI/CD, and Kubernetes-based operations.
- Ability to understand customer problems, move across the stack, communicate technical trade-offs in business language, and work effectively with product stakeholders.
- Experience running agentic workflows, evaluating agent output, and tuning evaluation loops.
