$161k - $229k/yr

Responsibilities

Build and maintain full-stack features across marketplace products, including search, ranking, and renter-facing user interfaces.
Support and extend ML Ops infrastructure, including model deployment pipelines, feature stores, real-time data pipelines, and monitoring, primarily on Chalk and Vertex AI.
Collaborate with data scientists to bring machine learning models into production reliably and at scale.
Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
Contribute to technical planning and break complex problems into executable work.
Identify and address performance, reliability, and scalability issues in existing systems.
Communicate progress clearly and surface blockers early.

Have 5+ years of professional software engineering or ML Ops experience with meaningful backend or full-stack development work.
Be proficient in at least one backend language, including Ruby, JavaScript, Go, or Python.
Have exposure to machine learning concepts and comfort working at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning.
Have hands-on experience with ML Ops tooling such as Vertex AI, MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar.
Have hands-on experience with feature stores such as Chalk or similar tools.
Demonstrate proficiency managing data with SQL and programming languages, with exposure to feature pipelines and A/B testing frameworks.
Have experience using AI tools to improve workflows and reduce feedback loops.
Have experience working in cloud environments, with GCP preferred and AWS or Azure also considered.
Demonstrate strong communication, debugging, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications include engineering mentorship, search or recommendation systems experience, online marketplace experience, and familiarity with real-time systems and latency optimization.
