Base Salary

$119k - $206k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of complex network automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks, tools, workflows, playbooks, scripts, testing frameworks, and self-service solutions.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration management, compliance validation, upgrades, migrations, deployments, and lifecycle management.
  • Build integrations between network infrastructure, source control, IT service management, orchestration, and enterprise automation platforms.
  • Create diagnostic, validation, simulation, and testing tools to improve reliability and proactively identify issues.
  • Assess automation risks and ensure security, quality, resiliency, regulatory, and audit requirements are met.
  • Research operational metrics and system health data to identify automation opportunities and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with network, software development, product, security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor for automation practices, code quality, source control, testing, and DevOps/GitOps adoption.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of network engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 5 years of network automation or infrastructure engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing automation solutions with Python, Ansible, Robot Framework, or similar technologies.
  • At least 3 years of experience with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, Git, source control management, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • At least 3 years of experience automating network, security, application delivery, or infrastructure platforms.
  • Preferred experience with F5 BIG-IP, F5 GTM/DNS, NSX Advanced Load Balancer (AVI), NGINX, or other application delivery controller platforms.
  • Preferred experience with GitOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or enterprise orchestration platforms.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, automated testing, software development lifecycle practices, security, compliance, change management, and operational resiliency.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production network and automation workflows and developing automated validation, testing, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills, with familiarity with enterprise monitoring, observability, and logging tools.
