Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day Redis and OpenShift platform operations, including cluster maintenance, upgrades, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Lead incident response, diagnosis, resolution, root-cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions.
- Develop automation and operational tools using Python, Bash, GitOps workflows, and AI-assisted tools.
- Lead Redis cluster builds, configuration, onboarding, upgrades, patching, remediation, and decommissioning.
- Build and maintain consistent, reliable, compliant platform operations across environments.
- Partner with engineering, SRE, security, and development teams on operational patterns, guardrails, and platform readiness standards.
- Ensure operations follow security standards, audit controls, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Identify operational gaps and lead initiatives that improve reliability, resiliency, and operational maturity.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of systems engineering, technology architecture, systems operations, or cloud operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Redis and Python platform operations.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting complex enterprise applications and platforms in production.
- At least 5 years of designing and building complex observability solutions using industry-standard or custom-built tools.
- At least 5 years of experience with configuration and monitoring technologies such as Ansible, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk, and Prometheus.
- At least 2 years of deep Redis expertise, including cluster builds, pipelines, diagnosis, debugging, remediation, upgrades, patching, and root-cause analysis.
- At least 2 years of experience building automated remediation workflows and operational tools.
- At least 2 years of Linux systems operations experience.
- Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Jira, or GitHub.
- Experience with AI development involving agents, MCP, tools, or skills.
- Strong analytical and operational problem-solving skills and the ability to influence improvements across teams.
