Base Salary
$119k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex initiatives to design, build, and engineer infrastructure solutions supporting mission-critical applications.
- Develop an automation-first infrastructure strategy for programmatic provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Design and maintain scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-maintenance Solace infrastructure patterns and tooling.
- Apply AI-assisted engineering for code generation, configuration validation, design analysis, and standardization.
- Modernize Solace infrastructure architecture and evaluate internal and external technologies supporting automation and platform goals.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, deploy, and maintain infrastructure automation and tooling.
- Make technical decisions involving architecture, automation frameworks, AI usage, implementation plans, and engineering tradeoffs.
- Identify engineering risks and dependencies, define mitigation strategies, and direct daily risk and control activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, architects, engineering teams, operations teams, development teams, customers, peers, managers, and vendors.
- Provide Level 3 engineering support and troubleshoot and remediate complex technical and support issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technology infrastructure engineering and solutions experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of middleware engineering or administration experience using Solace PubSub+ hardware appliances and/or Solace PubSub+ Software Brokers in OCP Containers or public cloud environments.
- 5+ years of experience building and managing enterprise-scale infrastructure using automation.
- 3+ years of advanced coding or scripting experience focused on infrastructure automation, such as Python or similar.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience with observability and monitoring tools such as RTView, Grafana, Prometheus, and BigPanda.
- Preferred: 5+ years of automation experience using Python, SEMP APIs, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and internal developer platforms.
- Preferred: expert-level Splunk knowledge, including dashboard creation and alert configuration.
- Preferred: experience with Autosys or similar scheduling platforms.
- Preferred: familiarity with Tomcat, Java, and database technologies.
- Preferred: expert understanding of infrastructure engineering technologies, including Infrastructure as Code.
- Preferred: ability to provide L3 engineering support and troubleshoot complex technical engineering and support issues.
