Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, optimization, and delivery of Java enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Guide and mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions and collaborate with product, business, QA, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers.
- Drive application scalability, performance, security, resilience, and quality.
- Support deployment, troubleshooting, release automation, and performance enhancement activities.
- Facilitate Agile planning, sprint ceremonies, retrospectives, and backlog-related activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and evaluate emerging Java frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Java developer in enterprise settings.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, microservices, SQL, and relational databases.
- Proven experience leading development teams, mentoring developers, and delivering complex enterprise solutions.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Experience with Agile teams and continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Knowledge of MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Maven or Gradle, Git, Jira, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, MongoDB, Cassandra, New Relic, or AppDynamics is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Oracle Certified Professional or Java SE certification is preferred.
- Finance, banking, or large-scale enterprise systems experience is a plus.
