Responsibilities
- Design and build ABAP Cloud applications embedding LLM-driven intelligence into SAP business processes.
- Implement AI-enabled SAP extensions using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native architectures.
- Integrate LLMs, embeddings, retrieval pipelines, AI services, and enterprise APIs with ABAP Cloud applications.
- Develop agentic workflows involving tools, planners, memory, orchestration, evaluation loops, prompts, grounding, fallback logic, and safety boundaries.
- Build retrieval pipelines using SAP and non-SAP data sources, including business objects, CDS views, documents, and events.
- Implement chunking, indexing, embeddings, context assembly, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, telemetry, logging, and failure analysis.
- Prototype, demonstrate, and refine AI solutions before scaling them into enterprise-grade SAP production systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP ABAP Cloud, including RAP, CDS, OData, and clean-core principles.
- Experience integrating LLMs and AI services into applications and building RAG pipelines, embeddings, and contextual retrieval.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in design, testing, and CI/CD.
- Ability to translate business problems into AI-enabled SAP solutions.
- Experience with SAP BTP, eventing, APIs, and cloud services is strongly beneficial.
- Familiarity with agent frameworks or custom orchestration logic is beneficial.
- Exposure to vector databases, search, or semantic indexing is beneficial.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, authorization, and compliance patterns is beneficial.
