Responsibilities

  • Define high-level software architecture, components, interfaces, and design patterns for IMG Ford Pro’s external web presence.
  • Independently lead architectural initiatives, provide technical guidance to development teams, and support successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with management, product managers, UX/UI designers, software engineers, and business stakeholders to translate capabilities into technical solutions.
  • Govern coding standards, development tools, validation processes, compliance requirements, web performance, accessibility, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Design APIs, protocols, and interfaces connecting front-end platforms with backend systems, CMS platforms, CRM systems, and third-party dependencies.
  • Evaluate technology stacks, integration methods, and deployment strategies across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Create and maintain Architecture Requirements Documents, Architecture Decision Records, system context flows, and integration diagrams.
  • Identify and reduce technical debt across the website portfolio and develop prototypes and proofs of concept for emerging web technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 2–5 years focused on architecture for large-scale, customer-facing web platforms.
  • Deep expertise in React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web technologies and build tools.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Micro Frontend architectures and MACH architectural principles.
  • Strong knowledge of content management systems, particularly Adobe Experience Manager, including decoupled or headless integrations.
  • Expertise in API design, RESTful services, and integration platforms such as MuleSoft and Apigee.
  • Experience designing solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including static site hosting, CDNs, and serverless functions.
  • Understanding of web performance optimization, web security standards, and WCAG accessibility compliance.
  • Strong communication and influential leadership skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders and geographically diverse teams.
  • Working knowledge of Agile product management methodologies and tools.
  • Preferred experience with server-side rendering or static site generation, TOGAF or SAFe, e-commerce or commercial automotive/fleet solutions, A/B testing frameworks, customer data platforms, and advanced web analytics.
