Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Map requirements to test cases and understand system architecture, test environments, and test data needs.
- Conduct positive, negative, validation, exploratory, regression, data migration, integration, interoperability, and data integrity testing.
- Test database persistence, web services connectivity, data transfers, distributed components, and error processing across business processes.
- Identify, document, and disposition defects according to established standards and processes.
- Write status reports, test execution reports, and final test analysis reports.
- Lead test efforts and communicate testing status and defects to stakeholders and customers.
- Follow established standards, processes, and review procedures while collaborating independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- At least seven years of software testing experience, including leading test efforts.
- Experience writing detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports; communicating status; and presenting defects to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of test management and automation tools.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture, SOAP or REST message structures, FHIR, and HL7.
- Healthcare IT experience is required; Electronic Health Record experience with DoD, VA, or private-sector systems is a plus.
- Broad technical knowledge of IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, networks, databases, and distributed application environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, scientific, managerial, business, or related discipline; four years of relevant experience or an associate degree plus two years of relevant experience may substitute.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to successfully pass a thorough government background screening process.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with SOAPUI, CA DevTest, CAI, Service Virtualization, VA healthcare software applications, IBM Rational, OpenText Application Lifecycle Management, InterSystems HealthShare, or Ensemble.
- Understanding of Agile methodology and continuous integration/continuous deployment models.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products.
