Base Salary
$152k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs focused on testability.
- Architect and implement testing interfaces that allow safe manipulation of system states.
- Evangelize testability and quality engineering practices across cross-functional teams.
- Identify testability gaps in microservices and propose platform-level solutions.
- Build internal tooling and libraries to facilitate the adoption of testability best practices.
- Define and track quality and testability metrics across services.
- Mentor engineers on test architecture and quality engineering patterns.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure safe implementation of testability features.
- Champion AI-native approaches to enhance testing and quality.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging AI coding/testing tools.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend services.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience designing and building testability infrastructure or internal developer tools.
- Strong hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Ability to design safe, access-controlled testing interfaces.
- Solid understanding of software quality methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and integrating quality tooling into pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills for influencing engineering practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes and microservice architecture is a plus.
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI-native engineering and experience with AI-assisted tools.
