Responsibilities
- Develop new solutions, features, enhancements, and break/fix implementations for engineering programs and projects.
- Design, implement, test, debug, document, maintain, and support application and system components.
- Develop and implement REST APIs and integrations aligned with business needs and technology architecture standards.
- Perform unit and component testing, peer code reviews, quality reviews, and defect prevention activities.
- Analyze technical requirements and recommend practical engineering solutions, estimates, and implementation approaches.
- Collaborate with technology partners, stakeholders, development teams, and leadership to deliver solutions on time and within quality standards.
- Provide technical support during incident management, analyze outages, assess impact, and help resolve incidents.
- Apply secure coding practices, identify technical risks, follow internal policies and regulatory guidelines, and support risk management.
- Contribute to user stories, acceptance criteria, definitions of done and ready, knowledge transfer, team training, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate, preferably in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic background and 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong REST API design and implementation skills.
- Strong experience with Java (J2EE), JAX-RS, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JBoss, and Maven.
- Experience with Angular, Node.js, XML, JSON, MQ, JMS, and ODS.
- Strong understanding of Git workflow and experience with Bitbucket or GitHub.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with deployment pipelines such as EDP XL and EDP GT.
- Nice-to-have experience with Stash, Bower, npm, Karma, Grunt, Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, Active Directory, Kubernetes, Docker, SonarQube, Veracode, or Snyk.
