Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python and Django.
- Architect and implement new features and services that meet business requirements.
- Lead problem discovery, root cause analysis, solution framing, and execution planning for complex challenges.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical solutions and drive decisions through data, experimentation, and prototyping.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported incidents, bugs, requests, performance bottlenecks, and other backend issues.
- Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Customer Support, product managers, and other engineers.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code while maintaining quality, security, scalability, and data protection standards.
- Contribute to development-process improvements, including continuous integration and deployment strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience with strong Python and Django expertise.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID, and GRASP principles.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, API-first approaches, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and frameworks such as Celery.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and their services.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to solve ambiguous problems, evaluate trade-offs, and translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and solution design.
- Strong systems-thinking, problem-solving, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Nice to have: experience with Angular version 18 or later, modern frontend development, and full-stack contribution.
