Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, architect, and optimize high-performance backend services and features using Python and Django.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Customer Support, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused software solutions.
- Lead problem discovery, root cause analysis, solution framing, technical planning, experimentation, and rapid prototyping.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported incidents, bugs, requests, performance bottlenecks, and other backend issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and uphold quality, security, data protection, and operational standards.
- Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
- Contribute to development-process improvements, including continuous integration and deployment strategies.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and solution design.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend development experience with strong Python and Django expertise.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID, and GRASP principles.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, API-first development, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.
- Experience solving ambiguous problems and translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong systems-thinking, trade-off evaluation, problem-solving, communication, and independent-working abilities.
- Experience with responsible AI-assisted development tools while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and frameworks such as Celery.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with Angular version 18 or later and modern frontend development is preferred.
- Ability to contribute across the full stack is preferred.
