Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical vision, architecture, and technology strategy for identity, IAM, and account infrastructure.
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Directors to create and prioritize technical roadmaps.
- Coordinate across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Security, and Product teams to align systems with regulatory requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-availability IAM products and account infrastructure using Java or Kotlin and cloud-native technologies.
- Implement OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML security protocols for authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Architect and optimize scalable infrastructure for high transaction volumes and system reliability.
- Conduct code reviews, write automated tests, and establish performance and security best practices.
- Mentor engineers and help improve team capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
- Deep understanding of IAM concepts including authentication, authorization, SSO, and MFA.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Redis.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and leveling up team capabilities.
- Familiarity with application security best practices and OWASP secure coding standards.
- Preferred experience in fintech, banking, or payments.
- Preferred experience with data governance tools or privacy-enhancing technologies.
- Preferred experience working in a high-growth startup or unicorn environment.
