Responsibilities
- Develop platform software for board bring-up, high-speed networking interfaces, device drivers, chassis and line-card infrastructure, fabrics, and optics.
- Develop networking products using JunOS or Junos Evolved software architectures.
- Work with system and solution test teams to ensure delivered products and solutions meet high quality standards.
- Provide engineering assistance to the Juniper Technical Assistance Team for customer deployment escalations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Typically 6–10 years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of data networking, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and routing.
- Proficiency with device drivers, system bring-up, and FreeBSD/Linux internals.
- Strong C and C++ programming, object-oriented analysis and design, data structures, and system debugging skills.
- Understanding of firmware and hardware-level details involving optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, and flash drivers.
- Prior software development experience on networking products is preferred.
