Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services, APIs, and core system components for ATARS.
- Build and maintain production systems for scenario planning and telemetry ingestion.
- Develop backend data services for post-flight training review and analysis.
- Implement secure and scalable backend architectures including authentication systems.
- Productionize LLM-enabled backend capabilities for AI-assisted workflows.
- Ensure backend services meet high standards for performance and security.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate backend services with ATARS.
- Identify and resolve defects in backend systems and distributed architectures.
- Support CI/CD workflows for production software delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend or Full Stack Software Engineer.
- Strong experience with AI coding agents/tools like Codex or Claude Code.
- Proficiency in Python for building performant and scalable systems.
- Experience developing and maintaining RESTful services and backend APIs.
- Strong debugging skills in backend and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Git version control.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
