Base Salary
$145k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve large-scale data ingestion and processing pipelines.
- Build backend services that power AI inference with in-house models.
- Design, deploy, and operate production microservices.
- Improve application, endpoint, database, and overall system performance.
- Develop reliable and maintainable code across Python, TypeScript, and Go.
- Partner with teammates to deploy and operate systems in AWS.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building backend applications with Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Deep experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
- Experience with message queues, background jobs, and task orchestration tools such as Celery, SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Experience building large-scale data ingestion and processing systems.
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining microservices.
- Ability to optimize endpoint performance, improve database query efficiency, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
- Strong focus on pragmatic, maintainable application code and ownership in fast-moving environments.
- Django experience is preferred.
- Startup or other fast-paced, high-growth company experience is preferred.
