Base Salary
$130k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead code and design reviews and contribute to planning and daily engineering operations.
- Develop, debug, test, and optimize front-end web applications, with approximately 75% front-end and 25% backend service-level work.
- Build reusable UI component libraries and front-end frameworks and modernize legacy applications, including migration from Knockout to Vue.js.
- Develop and deploy scalable applications using API-first practices, cloud-native infrastructure, and observability tooling.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting across front-end and service-level code and participate in on-call incident response.
- Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, system administrators, engineering teams, product teams, customers, and vendors.
- Use AI-assisted workflows for code generation, testing, and refactoring.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related software development experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- True full-stack capability with a front-end preference and strong proficiency in Vue.js; React or Angular experience is acceptable.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET for backend service-level development.
- Experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, SQL and NoSQL databases, caching strategies, and data structure design.
- Experience with software design, development, deployment, REST API best practices, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Proficiency with observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana or equivalent tools.
- Ability to use modern AI tooling in daily engineering workflows and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Strong analytical, communication, time-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes fintech or banking, SaaS offerings, AWS, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, and cross-platform mobile frameworks such as Flutter.
