Base Salary
$85k - $148k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design automation solutions for different mainframe platforms.
- Develop integrations with Envision X, AIR, Sidekick, Automation Point, OPS/MVS, and zOSMF.
- Engineer solutions that bridge tool capabilities with business requirements.
- Automate corrective steps in response to specific alert types to reduce human intervention.
- Assess and analyze existing tool performance to identify gaps and enable proactive issue detection.
- Write and document software using agile development practices.
Requirements
- A BS degree in computer science or a related field and 10 years of development experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum NetView SA qualification is required.
- Experience writing and documenting software code.
- Programming experience with REXX and Assembler.
- Experience with source code management platforms such as GitHub.
- Experience with issue tracking and agile project management tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
- Knowledge of z/OS, MVS, and their mainframe sub-components.
- Knowledge of software packaging and distribution, ITSM, ITOM, and the ITIL framework.
- Knowledge of DevOps and agile methodology principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, learning, and relationship-building abilities.
