Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend features for the desktop, mobile web, and tablet web shop using React and TypeScript.
- Own features from conception through deployment and contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, refactoring, and technical research.
- Build custom abstractions, frameworks, A/B-testing solutions, deployment dashboards, and other productivity tools where appropriate.
- Improve web performance toward p99-level optimization, including Core Web Vitals, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Implement monitoring and alerting that detects deployment and campaign issues, distinguishes customers from bots, and maintains appropriate alert severity.
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, QA, and Security to deliver customer-focused solutions that fit the architecture.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Cursor while critically evaluating their output.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of frontend development experience.
- Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, and React knowledge, including React Hooks, Context, and the React ecosystem.
- Solid HTML and modern CSS skills, including CSS-in-JS and responsive design, plus understanding of web performance and accessibility.
- Experience integrating APIs and using state-management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query.
- Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
- Experience with modern tooling such as Vite, npm, and yarn, as well as Git and CI/CD.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted development and the judgment to critically assess AI-generated results.
- Problem-solving mindset, ownership, ability to handle non-standard problems, and willingness to seek help when appropriate.
- Preferred experience with server-side rendering, Node.js, large-scale e-commerce, design systems or component libraries, Cypress, monitoring, observability, or web security.
