Base Salary
$197k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop resilient systems and libraries that automate cluster management and lifecycle operations.
- Promote reliability best practices, lead common reliability initiatives, and provide technical reviews and operational guidance.
- Build and standardize process automation, platform tooling, and a supported golden path for the Roblox ecosystem.
- Create production guardrails using release-capacity evaluation and load-testing tooling.
- Develop performance monitoring, observability, generalized canarying, and alerting services for production systems.
- Analyze systems and designs for production readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 6 years of experience as an SRE or Software Engineer.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with high-level programming languages such as Go, Java, or C#.
- Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems.
- Experience with Nomad, Vault, and Consul is strongly desired.
- Experience building software and tools, driving adoption, and developing highly reliable systems.
- Experience with large project lifecycles, sprint-based work, task breakdown, and project status reporting.
