Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Mainframe Assembler.
  • Design, code, test, and debug mainframe programs.
  • Create and maintain JCLs for batch processing and job scheduling.
  • Support and maintain applications in the IBM z/OS environment.
  • Analyze and resolve production incidents and performance issues.
  • Perform impact analysis for change requests and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, and support teams.
  • Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and software development best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Requirements

  • 4–9 years of hands-on experience in mainframe technologies.
  • Strong programming expertise in Assembler.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting JCL.
  • Strong knowledge of the IBM z/OS environment.
  • Experience with production support and incident management.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
