Base Salary
$184k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable, resilient, reliable, and high-performance platform systems.
- Deliver end-to-end platform capabilities across the stack and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to architectural decisions shaping the long-term direction of core systems.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, performance issues, and systemic risks.
- Translate business and product needs into technical solutions with partner teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Own features from concept through deployment and ongoing operation.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS in distributed systems, backend services, or platform development.
- Experience building and operating mission-critical services with uptime, reliability, and performance requirements.
- Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, including containers, service orchestration, and observability stacks.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and code optimization skills.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading medium to large technical initiatives.
- Familiarity with real-time data processing pipelines or high-throughput systems is desirable.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or automated deployment workflows is desirable.
- Open-source contributions or technical writing and knowledge-sharing experience are desirable.
