Responsibilities
- Build ML systems with Data Scientists from initial design through validated production outcomes.
- Own the architecture for feature computation, prediction serving, training, serving, and retraining workflows.
- Deploy models safely using offline evaluation, shadow runs, champion/challenger testing, and rollback procedures.
- Define and automate ML system quality checks, alerts, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
- Bridge team needs and platform standards while co-owning ML templates and tooling.
- Set engineering standards and help define how coding agents support data preparation, implementation, QA, security, and deployment.
- Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering and communicate technical trade-offs in business terms.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience shipping and operating machine learning systems in production.
- Strong Python and SQL skills plus proficiency in another language such as Go or Java.
- Experience designing contracts between data, models, and consumers while reasoning about latency, cost, and failure modes.
- Understanding of forecasting, regression, and optimization sufficient to assess model designs and production behavior.
- Hands-on experience with containers, orchestration, CI/CD, model registries, and a major cloud platform, ideally AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams and communicate fluently in English across cultures.
