Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Software Architects on software specifications and architecture.
- Develop software modules through detailed design, coding, testing, and verification.
- Set up and maintain the software development toolchain.
- Manage software work products under configuration management.
- Apply software processes and standards while collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
- Contribute reusable solutions, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with evolving technologies through techno-watch activities.
- Debug complex systems and address root causes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, ECE, EEE, or an equivalent qualification.
- 8+ years of experience designing software modules for complex embedded systems.
- Proficiency in C and scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience with multi-core and multi-threaded programming and low-level embedded software design.
- Knowledge of Linux, RTOS, or VxWorks operating systems.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, CIP, TRDP, and MVB communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of embedded concepts including multi-threading and IPC.
- Problem-solving and debugging ability in complex systems.
- Exposure to security principles and secure network communications is desirable.
- Rail-industry or similar-industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across global teams and adapt to diverse cultural settings.
