Responsibilities
- Build complex Ruby on Rails services within the Workato platform
- Research the Slack and Microsoft Teams ecosystems, including trends and changes
- Contribute throughout all phases of the development lifecycle
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
- Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems
- Investigate alternative technologies and present them for architectural review
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
- 5+ years of experience developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications
- Strong object-oriented programming and design knowledge
- Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills
- Go experience is preferred
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS or React is preferred
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Teams or Slack platforms and APIs is a plus
- Understanding of good user experience
- Ability to work remotely with globally distributed teams and time zones
- Intermediate or higher spoken English
