Base Salary
$265k - $340k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of Replit’s monetization systems.
- Create seamless payment experiences for product-led and sales-led motions.
- Build abstractions and APIs that enable other engineers to monetize new products.
- Iterate on pricing and packaging tactics, including coupon codes and referral systems, to drive revenue growth.
- Create monitoring and feedback systems to proactively identify problems, fix them, and optimize performance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience with strong backend skills.
- Direct experience with subscription platforms, usage-based billing, SaaS taxation, payment platforms, or tokenization.
- Experience implementing customer-facing billing interfaces that simplify complex pricing structures.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments and solve complex billing issues and edge cases.
- Bonus experience with Orb, Metronome, or Stripe usage-based billing.
- Bonus experience with coupons, referral programs, or other monetization growth tactics.
