Base Salary
$108k - $139k/yr
Responsibilities
- Gather and refine requirements with end-users for complex data-driven systems.
- Create architecture diagrams, functional specifications, technical designs, test plans, and other project documentation.
- Design, develop, test, and implement scalable data pipelines, rules engines, and database solutions.
- Optimize distributed systems for large-scale, low-latency workloads processing billions of events daily.
- Deploy and maintain applications in Linux-based environments in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
- Coordinate application development, troubleshooting, and system enhancements across cross-functional teams.
- Use Anthropic’s Claude and other AI tools to improve coding, testing, documentation, and team productivity.
- Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows that integrate LLMs into engineering and surveillance tooling.
- Research emerging technologies and design patterns to improve scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Provide application support, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and participate in a 24/7 production on-call rotation.
- Support recruitment activities for new engineering hires.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience in high-performance or distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python for backend development.
- Experience with Linux environments and at least one scripting language such as Bash or Shell.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake for large-scale data processing.
- Ability to design scalable, low-latency systems that handle billions of events daily.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
- Experience using Anthropic’s Claude or similar AI coding assistants and building agentic or LLM-powered workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, independent work habits, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, finance, trading, exchanges, or related fields is a plus.
