Base Salary
$152k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for software design and architecture.
- Work with data structures and algorithms, Linux, multithreading, and networking.
- Program and script using C++, Go, C, Python, Ansible, and Bash.
- Code in C++, Python, and Java and conduct peer code reviews.
- Containerize applications using Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and DevOps tools.
- Monitor and log applications using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Support applications under development, customize existing applications, and assist with software updates and releases.
- Analyze, test, and integrate new applications.
- Document development activity and produce software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, recommendations, and reports.
- Evaluate competitive applications and products and research relevant literature, patents, and practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and determine integration needs.
- Work with Quality Assurance to assess whether applications meet specifications and technical requirements.
- Guide and mentor junior-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Five years of experience with software design and architecture, data structures and algorithms, Linux, multithreading, networking, and programming and scripting with C++, Go, C, Python, Ansible, and Bash.
- Three years of experience coding in C++, Python, and Java and performing peer code reviews.
- Three years of experience with containerization using Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and DevOps.
- One year of experience monitoring and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
