Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate technology choices.
- Review other developers' code and provide feedback on style, accuracy, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
- Contribute to and update documentation or educational content based on product or program changes and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their effects on hardware, networks, service operations, and quality.
- Work with external partners and manage cross-functional technical projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in two or more programming languages, such as C++ or Java.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- At least 2 years of experience with databases and querying languages, such as SQL or MySQL.
- Five years of experience with data structures and algorithms is preferred.
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
- One year of experience in a technical leadership role is preferred.
- Ability to quickly master complex codebases, identify hotspots, balance pragmatic delivery with technical excellence, and collaborate effectively.
