Base Salary

$200k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

Build backend systems that ingest and process real-world documents from customer ERPs and inboxes.
Develop LLM agents that complete complex, multi-page compliance and food safety documents.
Own and ship features end to end across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and product.
Work directly with the founders on major technical and product decisions.
Iterate quickly based on real user feedback.

Prior experience as a founding engineer, founder, or one of the first 1 to 5 engineers at a seed or Series A startup.
Demonstrated 0-to-1 ownership of production products or major features.
Full-stack capability across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
Production experience shipping LLM and agent systems, such as RAG pipelines, search, or automation tools.
Strong backend experience processing real-world data and designing relational schemas.
Experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot or another JVM backend; willingness to learn Kotlin is acceptable.
Familiarity with React and Next.js.
Production cloud infrastructure experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience integrating multiple model providers such as Gemini, Anthropic, or OpenAI is preferred.
Exposure to document processing, PDF parsing, or unstructured data extraction is preferred.
Demonstrated increasing ownership, scope, and impact across career roles.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or clearly willing to relocate.
