Responsibilities
- Shape architecture, engineering practices, and capabilities for customer communications across multiple channels.
- Design reusable APIs, event patterns, platform services, and automation for large-scale communication platforms.
- Guide engineering teams from architecture through production and modernise legacy communication platforms.
- Improve scalability, observability, resilience, reliability, traceability, security, privacy, consent, and governance.
- Lead key technical decisions, establish engineering standards, and support major incident resolution.
- Design and implement Agentic AI, AI agents, and automated enterprise workflows.
- Partner with Product, Data, Cyber, Risk, and Architecture teams.
- Review code, influence architecture, and mentor senior engineers across multiple engineering teams.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and TypeScript.
- Deep experience designing and building large-scale distributed enterprise platforms supporting high-volume, business-critical services.
- Strong knowledge of event-driven and API-first architectures, streaming, asynchronous processing, integrations, and failure handling.
- Experience with cloud and platform engineering, containerised workloads, infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD.
- Experience designing and implementing Agentic AI and intelligent automation in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of observability, reliability, resilience, monitoring, performance, incident management, and disaster recovery.
- Proven technical leadership across multiple engineering teams while remaining hands-on with coding, architecture reviews, and mentoring.
